So I went to the Pumpkin Show today...

In the '70s and '80s it was an annal trip to the Pumpkin Show for me. I had an aunt and uncle that lived in Circleville and we'd go as a family. It had been 40+ years since my last trip there, so I was excited to walk the streets and see the craft booths and get some of the pumpkin-themed food. I was able to do those things, but I'd be lying if I said it was entirely enjoyable. I saw so much right-wing, Trump-themed merchandise at booth after booth. When did festival season become shove-your-MAGA-loyalty-in-other-people's-faces season?

Thanks for listening to me vent. If you go, please do as I did and stop by and see the good folks manning the Pickaway county Democratic Party booth. God bless them for working in that toxic environment.

They had signs indicating it was the 118th edition, which is a bit staggering to think about. Xavier Breath Oct 2025 #2

with a large teddy bear I had somehow won. I was 4 and my sis was 5 in 1952. My grandparents lived in Ross County.

I wish it had been about fifteen degrees cooler. It would have added to the ambiance a bit.
