Wayne County updates polling sites for November election

Voters in several Wayne County communities will head to new polling locations for the Nov. 4, 2025 general election.

Residents of the Village of Creston, parts of Chester Township, eastern Plain Township and all of East Union Township, including the Village of Apple Creek, are affected by the changes, according to a community announcement.

The Wayne County Board of Elections considers numerous factors when determining precinct boundaries and polling locations, according to Deputy Director Bryon Bell.

“Occasionally, precinct boundaries have to be reassessed due to population changes and occurrences like new housing developments and annexations,” Bell said in the announcement. “When it comes to polling locations, handicapped accessibility, availability of parking, voter safety, interior space, cost, voter experience, and many other factors all play a role in making this decision. Sometimes, circumstances arise that require a polling location to be changed.”
