New NYC mayoral poll shows Mamdani beating Cuomo by 10 points in head-to-head matchup
Zohran Mamdani is holding his ground as the frontrunner in the race for NYC mayor with another poll released Tuesday showing the Democratic nominee with a significant lead and beating former Gov. Andrew Cuomo in a head-to-head contest.
A new Marist poll showed Mamdani leading Andrew Cuomo by 21 points, with 45% of polltakers saying they support Mamdani and 24% choosing Cuomo. Republican Curtis Sliwa received 17% and 9% backed Mayor Adams.
Those opposed to Mamdani, including President Trump, has urged for consolidation in the race to give one candidate the best shot at defeating the nominee.
Adams has pondered ending his campaign to take a job with President Trump or in the private sector, the Daily News has previously reported — although the mayor on Monday said he’d stay in the race ’til the end.
