Cuomo's new campaign pollster called him 'arrogant' during 2021 sex harass scandal
Andrew Cuomo’s newly-hired mayoral campaign pollster blasted the ex-governor as “arrogant” and “out of touch” in 2021 after he resigned amid sexual misconduct accusations.
Cornell Belcher, a renowned pollster known for working on both of Barack Obama’s successful presidential bids, came on board Cuomo’s mayoral campaign earlier this month as part of a wider staffing shakeup.
Belcher has a history of pretty harsh words for Cuomo.
In a TV news appearance days after Cuomo announced he was resigning as governor in August 2021, Belcher took issue with Cuomo’s claim that he was stepping down, not necessarily because of the sexual harrassment accusations against him, but because he didn’t want to tarnish his own administration’s work.
