Omaha.com: Lincoln woman bound, assaulted before house set on fire

Three men broke into a Lincoln woman's home, bound her with zip ties, carved words into her skin and set her house on fire, she told Lincoln police.

The woman's friends believe the incident was a hate crime because of her sexual orientation. Supporters were planning a vigil at the state Capitol on Sunday night.

Lincoln police declined to say whether the incident is being investigated as a hate crime.

"I can't comment on any possible suspect motive at this point," said Capt. Jim Davidsaver.
