Election 2025: Gray, Goodwin advance in Omaha Dist. 2 council race
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Ben Gray and LaVonya Goodwin will appear on the Dist. 2 ballots for City Council in May.
Election officials told First Alert 6 that they had counted all of the remaining ballots — both early and provisional — and came up with the following unofficial totals:
Ben Gray - 1,720
LaVonya Goodwin - 1,001
Juanita Johnson - 974
Maurice Jones - 937
Michael A. Lee Jr. - 539
William King - 457
Cheryl Weston - 336
Anthony K. Rogers-Wright - 197
Tyrone Eure - 106
Write-ins - 35
The Douglas County Election Commission is still working through the process to make the counts official, but said there will be no recounts.
