2 candidates for Kent County probate judgeship move on to November election

KENT COUNTY, MI -- Matthew DeLange and Tamara Lopez were the two candidates selected by voters to move on to the November general election in a race for an open Kent County Probate judge’s position.

The candidates running in the non-partisan race were Peter Kulas-Dominguez, Matthew DeLange and Tamara Lopez.

In the Tuesday, Aug. 6 primary, DeLange received about 45 percent of the vote and Lopez 31 percent.

According to state election law, the top two vote-getters in the primary move on to the general election.
