Hopkinton has a new Select Board member. Here are the town's May 19 election results
Matt Kizner is the newest member of the Hopkinton Select Board after topping the ticket in the May 19 annual town election.
Incumbent Select Board member Shahidul Mannan secured the other open spot on the five-member panel.
Kizner, who was most recently chair of the town's Capital Improvement Committee, earned 805 votes. Mannan collected 744 to earn a second three-year term on the town's top governing board.
A third candidate, Jeffrey Doyle, came up a bit short with 703 votes. A second incumbent, Mary Jo LaFreniere, did not seek reelection.
