As anti-trans petition gains traction, families and advocates concerned about impacts

Outside a southern Maine polling place on election night, Kristen and her son Ezra were stopped by a man collecting signatures for a petition campaign to “protect girls’ sports.” The petitioner asked them to sign a proposed ballot referendum that would bar transgender girls from participating on girls’ sports teams and from using girls’ bathrooms and locker rooms.

“I know you’re making money doing this, but think about the cost — the impact to these kids,” Kristen, who asked to use only their first names to protect their privacy, told the petitioner.

“I’d do it for free,” replied the man, who refused to identify himself.

“I’m trans myself and I play sports, so this affects me directly,” Ezra added.

... like this ambulatory turd with a malicious petition keep their ugly snouts out of other people's lives? People are literally born gay every day, and there is irrefutable scientific proof that supports that declaration.

EVERY human being is female at conception. Oooo! Mr. Macho Jockstrap doesn't like that A-tall! Sorry, big guy, but it's true. The Y chromosome that defines one as male doesn't manifest itself until later in the gestation period. These changes occur at infinitely variable points in the process, and to infinitely variable degrees. The same holds for every other physical development, including the brain, where the sense of self resides in every person, regardless of gender.

So it is not unusual for someone with the Y chromosome to feel certain that they were dealt a Joker in the developmental process, because they know it should have been a Queen, and they know down to their DNA that they are actually female. I use this example because, even though just as many people with XX chromosomes feel the same way, they don't seem to endure quite the same level of vicious public condemnation.

Now take a moment to appreciate the courage required to fight for one's right to assert their gender identity when faced with the unbending ignorance of those who demand that this person conform to their diseased concept of a rigid binary code rooted in archaic beliefs determined by religious zealots who exploit commandments supposedly handed down by an imaginary Sky Daddy in order to justify their insatiable craving for total dominion over the lives of others.

Well, since you put it that way...

Then, prove it.

Asswipe.

Oh, and smile for the camera! I want to make sure we can all see your happy face while you do this.

Get people to the polls who would normally stay home for midterms. Also a nice wedge issue that would force candidates to take a position. And because it is an emotional issue that sells eyeballs, the Media will make it 50% of their campaign coverage.

ME-02 is probably gone with Golden out and with this on the ballot, it definitely is. Might even save Collins.

Good strategy for Republicans.

In Virginia, which has a lot of conservative areas, Winsome Earle-Sears ran hard on the "no trans women in women's sports" platform. The result? She got her ass whooped. Even counties that went for her did so by less of a margin than usual.
