Voters approve most school tax renewals in October 11 election

Voters across Webster Parish approved the majority of school tax renewals during the Open Primary Election held Saturday, October 11, 2025.

The ballot included several parishwide and district-specific millage and sales tax renewals supporting local school operations and maintenance.

The Parishwide School District Proposition No. 1, a renewal of 5.78 mills for 10 years, passed with 61 percent approval (1,154 of 1,877 votes). The Parishwide School District Proposition No. 2, renewing 2.48 mills for 10 years, was also approved by 61 percent of voters (1,145 of 1,869 votes)

Voters also backed the Sales Tax School District No. 6 proposition, which renews a one-half percent sales and use tax in perpetuity, with 69 percent voting in favor (532 of 775 votes).
