Hospitals in Iowa's first district (which may close due to MMM's vote)

I got to thinking that there aren't many large towns in the first detract outside of Iowa City/Coralville and Davenport/Bettendorf. So outside of those two population centers where are the other hospitals.

I did a google search and outside of Iowa City and davenport there are only a few other hospitals. Possible google didn't list them all but here is what I got:

- Newton (I think Newton is in the first congressional district now)
- Washington
- Fort Madison
- Burlington
- Fairfield
- Muscatine
- Ottumwa - oops Ottumwa is no longer in the district
- Mount Pleasant
- Davis County
- Van Buren County
- Keokuk city and
-Keokuk county

If four of them will be closed due to cuts in Medicaid that southeast corner of Iowa will really be hurting. Some are more "urgent care" facilities.

There may be more. I just did a very quick search.

We've been screaming about this for a long time but we get drowned out by corporate media.

I know someone who would be dead without Medicaid and SNAP but she still supports this administration. It boggles the mind.
