?Eh, sorry gangehs, itʻs been real. We tried. Iʻll keep trying. And yes, I realize the odds are not great, we live on a militarized and occupied archipelago.

Bright side, you folks could come along with, though heads up, you will need to learn how to live without...pretty much everything.

Seriously though, my Dad used to tell me that we would be occupied by another superpower in very short order. The word he used was instantly. He was pretty smart.
I remember when I was in Kindergarten and came home asking him "Dad, Cedric Chang said that we took Hawaii from the Queen and imprisoned her. But we would never do that, right? Weʻre the good guys, right Dad?"
