(9,647 posts)jumping in but want a house atmosphere. Some are transplants planning to rent for a short period while they get the lay of land. Plenty of other reasons.
Point is, these homes are being used to house people, probably some good Democrats too.
Id have a problem if investors were holding houses off market, but they arent. Similarly, if they were conspiring to set rents Id oppose them. But dont think they have market power to do that. Though Im sure some will try.
Finally, 38K is minuscule in Atlanta area.

(4,541 posts)A potential homeowner looking to buy a home with a mortgage, doesn't stand a chance against a corporation offering a cash-buy. We need to tax corporate-owned homes HEAVILY, to encourage them to put those homes back on the market.
