Shasta County petition to override California election laws gets 10K signatures

A citizens’ group called the Shasta Election Task Force has turned in more than 10,000 signatures to put a referendum on the ballot to bring back counting votes by hand, restrict the use of absentee ballots, require voter ID and finalize the outcome of an election after polls close the night of or soon after.

The group submitted the signatures to the Shasta County Elections Office on Tuesday, Sept. 16 — the last day to do so, according to Registrar of Voters Clint Curtis.

Because the group turned in over 10,000 signatures, Curtis in an email to the Record Searchlight on Wednesday morning said he anticipates there will be enough verified signatures to get the measure on the ballot. If that is the case, the referendum would most likely be on the June 2, 2026, California Primary ballot, Curtis said.

“We have presently started the survey of 500 randomly drawn (randomized by the program through the Secretary of State) signatures. If the verification of those signature(s) reaches 95.5 percent, the submission will be deemed valid,” Curtis said.

When I finally realized she had been lying to me about her entire existence. She is a full blown tRump Nazi hypocrite.

She lives in Shasta and bitches about the school board, her inability to afford any healthcare, and her husband having an extremely low income since he couldn't cut it as a lawyer. She married a Mormon who had a zillion "kin" and they were all living with 10 miles of her. She actually referred to tRump as her Dear Leader and she was praying for him in 2017!

Shasta is the stinky arm pit of CA.
