(11,974 posts)captured the beauty of the flowers. Great photographs.
CaliforniaPeggy
(155,632 posts)Of course, the produce here is really farm-fresh, compared to the supermarket stuff.
The flowers really grabbed me today! Those pink roses blew my mind.

CaliforniaPeggy
(155,632 posts)Yup, they make me hungry too! I will be getting out of here shortly to make my dinner too!
Glad you enjoyed.

(155,632 posts)I had a great time, and it looks like you did too.
I hope the hot weather sticks around a bit longer; we've had a very cloudy spring and early summer, and I am not ready for fall yet!
I do like the fall veggies, though.

(98,530 posts)I love the flowers, but the kale is interesting. Can you get any closer to it? Could be a really eerie effect.
CaliforniaPeggy
(155,632 posts)The kale really stopped me in my tracks! I could get closer now, but that would involve cropping. Is that what you meant?
I'll give it a try in a bit!
2naSalit
(98,530 posts)Can you fill the frame with it?
Before cropping?
Just curious.
CaliforniaPeggy
(155,632 posts)I'll have to see what I can do in the original photo file.
I will return! Probably right here.
I did have to crop it before doing anything. And this is the crop I chose:

(98,530 posts)I should have said cropping optional but this is what I was looking for!
It just looks so alien, I guess that's why I like these macros.
CaliforniaPeggy
(155,632 posts)It sure does look alien. Next time, I'll take more exposures on the spot. That will give me more options about how to treat it later.

(6,819 posts)The dinosaur kale (also known as lacinato kale) and acorn squashes are my faves.
CaliforniaPeggy
(155,632 posts)That's very kind of you.
I really don't enjoy eating kale, but getting a photo is altogether different. I had fun with that.
And the skin on the acorn squash! Wow, it took a lot of strength to cut it through. Tasted mighty good though.
