5. By all means...spread your beautiful moments...

It is exactly what photography is about…being aware of the moment. Spent many hours in the darkroom bringing memories to light. Ansel’s zone control was seared into my brain. Kinda easier nowadays.
I usually check out your photos, three legged daddy. That one made me smile.

9. I took a darkroom course in community college once. Learned darkroom technique. Had a blast learned lots.

But with the advent of digital my whole world changed, like instantly. I purchased a Nikon D70 in 2004 and loved it almost to death. I never read about Ansel's zone control system. It is, nonetheless, easier to produce an image than ever before.
Do you take pictures? Have you posted any on DU?
Thanks.

11. My picture taking days are over...

Only camera I have now comes with a phone…imagine that. I was a semi-professional photographer and a professional darkroom operator specializing in B&W film. Two darkrooms were in my charge, a professional photographer’s and a community college processing lab where I taught a non credit class in zone control.
Most of my paid photo jobs were in the wild world of ballet photography, others were usually for small business owners for their ads, which led to the small graphics business I ran in conjunction with my primary business.

I dabbled with 35mm film but worked mostly with larger format 4x5. Had a couple Hasselblad’s, Nikon, some Canon’s over the years. Got a SLR digital right before retirement…hated it. Only pictures I do now are iPad photos.
