(10,056 posts)...and I started going to see him live regularly (at least once a month) at that time and throughout the 80s at bars in Chicago, including biddy mulligan's and orphan's. from the time I was 18, I spent most of my weekends at biddy's (it was one of the few bars I could get into at that age) seeing all the greats; buddy guy, Albert collins, Luther Allison, James cotton, etc.....and, of course, Bromberg.

(56 posts)and then Bob Dylan. I have been a fan of Bromberg since the early 1970's, first saw him at the old Roxy Theater in Northhampton, PA. I have heard him described as a "guitarists guitarist." He is extremely talented, in my humble opinion

(56 posts)All kinds of music...Folk, rock, New Orleans Jazz, blues, country and bluegrass, BIG BAND sounds! And ballads/stories..."Bullfrogs on Your Mind"!! Last time I saw him was several years ago at the Jim Thorpe Opera House.
His version of "Mr. Bojangles" is the best I ever heard--his voice fit the song so well.
