Thought I would try something different.
Since Led Zeppelin disbanded in the early 80's due to the death of John Bonham, there have been several bands labeled as either "the next Led Zeppelin" or "a Led Zeppelin clone". I present a sample from each decade.
1980's (They were trying hard, and it's really not a bad impression)
1990's (the song technically came out in 1989, but was in the charts for 22 weeks, most of that in 1990. Plus it's Bonham's kid's band. And I don't agree that the Black Crowes are Zeppelin clones.)

2000's (The spiritual successors, IMHO)

2010's (They have tried to run away from the label, but it is no mistaking from their first album who they were emulating, and quite well I might add)

Not really sure on this decade's candidate but heard Rival Sons are to be considered.
Please feel free to add your take on this, and your selections!
(Edited because I didn't spell Zeppelin right . . . multiple times

(74,892 posts)...is remarkably close to pure LZ.
I don't hear it as much in that Wolfmother song.
The Greta tune evokes Zeppelin in the bridge after the second verse, but the rest of the song is more Deep Purple without the organ, to me.
Thing is, the singer is good on all 4 of those cuts, which is the only way they'd get close to Zep.

(706 posts)that gives me a Kashmir-ish feeling. They have several songs that are pretty heavily Zeppelin influenced. So much so that when Zeppelin was inducted into UK Music Hall of Fame in 2006, they asked Wolfmother to perform.
Definitely agree that the Kingdom Come Song is the closest though.

(58,735 posts)I just noticed that you didn't post here between February of 2021 and May of 2024, so you missed most of my threads on the young British band Silveroller, with their amazing lead singer who's been compared to Paul Rodgers (Jonnie has been the frontman for a blues band as well). They did have a major lineup change last year, in late summer, and have had two changes of lead guitarist, so unfortunately don't have any new music out, but I hope they will have soon.
Just use advanced search for my threads abour Silveroller, going back to September 2023.
And my threads about Jayler, another young British band. You'll find my OPs from last January, quoting a reviewer saying
And more recently I posted about the Sherlocks.
Again, these are not Led Zeppelin clones. They're young musicians with a classic rock sound.
