It seems her management is now trying to market her as a Taylor Swift clone, trying to expand her audience beyond bluegrass into more of a mainstream pop lane.

I like some of the new songs, but some are just too poppy and over produced for me.

I’d be interested to see who wrote these new songs- is it still just Molly and her writing partner Ketch Secord, or are they using the “committee” style of composing so common in today’s popular music, with 4,6 or more names listed as co-authors?

She is a fine picker and singer- I remember hearing her as a teen playing with her siblings on local radio before she ever made a record.

I mean, she's covered the Stones, Jefferson Airplane and even Rancid (which is one of my favorites)

She's been putting out Singer Songwriter songs for quite a while - This is from Rise (2017)

I mean she's Molly Tuttle and her band are all Blue Grass/Americana players, so she always has that sound

I haven't lived with the new album long enough to have a final verdict to be honest, maybe I'll come to feel the same way.

Fact is, Taylor is so huge that any young Woman singing and playing acoustic guitar risks getting compared to her. I like Molly's pop side

Here's a peek at how I discovered her back when - She was doing instrument demos for vintage guitar stores in Nashville
