Heavy Foot - MonRovia - a rising Afro-Appalachian artist/band

A couple of weeks ago, a young Liberian-American artist showed up in one of my Facebook reels and I was quite taken with his musical style. In some ways, it seems reminiscent of James Taylor or Cat Stevens. His music seems to echo his experiences as a young refugee during the Liberian Civil War who was (adopted, I think) by a missionary family. This song was a fast favorite to me - as the lyrics and his soothing delivery seem to speak directly to what we are experiencing in our country today. See what you think

a lot of music I hear is that the overdubbing of the lead vocals make it hard to understand the lyrics sometimes
