Tragic accident at the end of the Oasis concert at Wembley last night, with a fan falling from the upper tier

There'd been no news about that yet when I checked for news about the band this morning, but now there are a lot of stories.

The Guardian: https://www.theguardian.com/music/2025/aug/03/oasis-shocked-saddened-fan-dies-fall-wembley-concert

The Sun:

The authorities are trying to gather more information about what happened. One fan on the lower tier reported seeing the fall and thinking at first it was a coat falling.

A time that I saw given in one news story would have meant the fall happened just before or just after the concert ended with fireworks.

Some of the fans replying there said they were at last night's concert, but didn't see the accident, though one saw ambulances outside, and another mentioned seeing another fall, a woman falling down another staircase. They mentioned steep steps in those tiers of seats, but no one mentioned having heard of other fatal falls at Wembley, though they had heard of fatal falls at other stadiums (so have I).

What is happening here? For a story like that you need a Brit, not an Aussie with little emotional attachment - and by the sound of it, no empathy at all.

That I saw many years ago (Metallica, System of a Down, and others). Very sad.

So horrible.

That article mentions people being crushed to death by crowd surge at a Pearl Jam concert in Denmark just days earlier.

A Taylor Swift fan died of heat stroke in Brazil in 2023.

There still haven't been any news stories about how the fall at Wembley occurred. But after looking at video showing how steep the section is - it looks like it has 3 steps for every 1 in the section below - and reading social media posts about how low the railing at the edge is (thigh or just above knee level according to some posts), it seems as if a fall could happen all too easily.
