I don't think I've ever seen TCM turn the spotlight on actress Pert Kelton, who had a career on the stage, on the radio, in movies, and on TV. She was cast as Alice Kramden in The Honeymooners, but was blacklisted after she was identified as a communist sympathizer. Many of you will have caught her memorable turn as Mrs. Paroo in the film version of The Music Man.
