University of Colorado Hospital. Have a blood clot in the right ventricle artery (I think) that theyre trying to figure out how to fix. Started with an afib event Saturday evening and an ambulance ride here. Never happened before but first time for everything right??
I have danced though life with few medical problems lucky me! Time to pay up. Hope to see you all soon.

(37,598 posts)out of the blue ... they attributed it to a mix of family history, another immune disorder, and the new birth control I was taking. I went ahead with their recommendation for a catheter procedure w/clot buster (tPA). The pressure on the right side of my heart is what caused the symptoms that encouraged me to head to the ER.
I have been on Xarelto since the event, over 10 years ago. It's serious, but they can treat it. Making it to the hospital is the most important part - you are there and they can help you!

(8,174 posts)My husband just got out of the hospital last Wednesday with the same. Started as Afib, and then they found a clot in one of the stents they'd put in during an earlier episode. For some reason no one seemed to be able to tell me, they couldn't replace the clotted stent. But get this... his body started growing veins connecting the areas of the heart, so blood was flowing freely and adequately through them! I'd never heard of such a thing before. Even in the early stages of dementia, my hubby is still teaching me about things! (LOL)
Hope for the best for you in healing and recovery!

(116,040 posts)I'm almost 6 months out from my cardiac event. They kept telling me "it's just a blip in your life" though it felt a hell of a lot more serious to me. I hope they get it cleared soon and have fun on new meds. It's frightening, take care.

(9,787 posts)Ive been a cardiac patient since I was 58 years old. Am now 72. I have afib which has never bothered me. It was a shock when I went to my first follow up, as I was the only person in my doctors waiting room that was under 120 hours years old.
