Thank you for the Hearts!

Mail in my inbox this morning told me I had a couple more hearts. Really lifted my spirits this chilly winter morning. Funny how a little thing like a digital heart can mean so much to people.

I have so enjoyed reading the posts from members who have received hearts, the joy this week brings to everyone. It makes me proud to be a member of DU, knowing we do make a difference in the lives of our members, just by caring enough to give a little heart.

Thank you to the kind souls who started my day with joy and love. 💕

A thank you not just for caring about the members but also this site itself, as every heart purchased is a dollar towards helping keep DU going and this site is a lifeline for so many. Our homepage, our social media, our news feed and more. With so many forums, it’s filled with information, entertainment and connection for its members.

Thank you too, to EarlG and Elad, for making it so easy to give what each person is able, with even $1 getting a star membership. No multi-level “plans”, just an even experience for all.

I know there are those who give far more than I am able to with my limited budget. Still, I am happy and proud when I am able to contribute in some small way with a few dollars here and there throughout the year.

I don’t know if I’ve expressed myself well here but I guess I can sum it up by saying If there is an award for best site on the internet, this one gets my vote for sure!
