Reading about a new, second "Sphere" venue in the U.S. Do you prefer that, or a smaller club atmosphere?

I prefer a smaller, more intimate atmosphere, like a cool dive bar or club.

Venue's irrelevant to me. I'm there to see the band or performer.

But, that's a bit of a fib.
I would prefer a smaller venue, but doesn't have to be a club. There are several old movie palaces in the Chicago area seating 1 to 2 thousand people that are great for concerts.
But, I went with the choice I did because of how it depends on the act.
When my wife & I saw Bowie (3 times) it would have been unrealistic to expect a small venue, and economically dubious for him.
When we saw Van Halen, or Clapton, or INXS it was obviously going to be an arena. We knew that before we explored tickets.
I wouldn't go see them, but if The Stones came to Chicago, they're playing Soldier Field.
But, I saw The Fixx at The Vic, King Crimson at Copernicus Center, and so on.
So, the venue really doesn't matter because if I want to see an artist badly enough I have to go to the room they're playing in.
