It looks cute, but if anything startles that owl, it could be disastrous.

Stacey O'Brien learned the hard way -- and she was a wildlife biologist specializing in owls. She knew that an owl's natural reaction when threatened is to go for the eyes with those talons. She raised a barn owl (male) from birth and they had a very comfortable relationship, but when something caused him to panic, he bit her hand so hard that his upper and lower beak penetrated deep enough into her flesh that they met.
