Ice-T is handling his "screen time reduction" on Law & Order SVU MUCH BETTER than I would if I were in his shoes

He's being diplomatic about it, saying it's "just business," and that with the return of Kelli Giddish to the show, producers decided they couldn't afford both of them in every episode, so his appearances are going to be cut in half to make room for her.

I look at this in terms of LOYALTY and TENURE...he's been on this show for over TWENTY FIVE YEARS. I don't think it's "right" or "fair."

But, that's showbiz.

Ice-T is chilling with Law & Order: SVU's latest decision.

Indeed, after Kelli Giddish returned to the precinct as Amanda Rollins full-time for season 27, Ice-T closed the case on why fans have seen less of Sergeant Fin Tutuola.

"It's just basically business," he told TMZ in an interview published Nov. 24. "They brought Kelli back and at the end of the day, they couldn't keep both of us on full-time, as far as budget-wise. They said, 'Ice, we'll have you come in and out this year.'"

"Everybody wanted Kelli back," he continued. "We've got new cops. I am not leaving the show. I am more concerned with going to Season 28. This year, they said, 'Ice, we're going to work you a little less.' Everything was cool with me. I understood."

He's awfully understanding.
I still have fond memories of his role in New Jack City.
