(18,549 posts)1. I have two cats who couldn't care less about boxes.
They much prefer the back of the couch.

(163,917 posts)2. What a wonderful kitty! He deserves another box, for sure.

It almost seems universal.

(25,444 posts)3. About 6 years ago, we rescued a sick feral cat from the street who was mystified about houses.
At first he totally didn't understand doors or doorways - think he was frightened of them at first. We taught him it was safe and now he can open just about any door not securely closed. Boxes, however, have zero appeal to them and he doesn't care for most toys. He does love zoomies and chasing lizarads and insects - that is his idea of fun.
When he's at rest, he's usually lying on the dogs' bed and will refuse to move even when the dog climbs on. It's always the dog who leaves, lol, since he is not fond of sharing. Foggy just lays there and looks at him like you don't intimidat me = even when he's 13 lbs and the dog weighs 62 lbs.
