Ruby-throated Hummingbird Nest - Brooklyn, NY

Ruby-throated Hummingbird nest at Dell Water in Green-Wood Cemetery on Sunday, 9/14/2025: big brother doing some stretching & wing flapping while the little one leaning on him. At one point he was on the side on top of the nest.

these creatures seemingly just made to be gorgeous doing something so prosaic as putting twigs together? Can!!'t even imaging the tininess of the eggs? - Or going back further, the mating?!
