I spent a half an hour last night talking vintage Oakland Raiders football with Hot Tuna right before they took the stage. I guess there was time for sports in with the sex, drugs and rock n’ roll.

My preference and I’d like to believe, my skill is mixing monitors. That means that my interest is the musicians on sage. It was acoustic Hot Tuna. Magical show. Jack was on fire. I’ve worked with them 4 or 5 times. They were keeping up with Ohio University’s football game hanging waiting for show time. I asked which of the Ohio Pro teams they followed. No, it was all old Oakland Raiders.

and several times subsequent to that.

I think the last time I saw them was in 1989 (Darien Lake NY) and I *think* they did both electric and acoustic sets. They opened for for Bob Weir and Rob Wasserman.

I've always loved that band.

That's great you got to speak to them!
