Our current cat, a calico short hair, loves to lie next to the bottom step on our (carpeted) stairs and then "walk" on the carpet, shredding it while looking like it's doing a moonwalk. She also regularly plays floor hockey with keys and other small items on our wooden floor, usually trying to direct them under the refrigerator.

That had her own private stash of stolen items.
