(140 posts)Dear Figarosmom,
We've raised 3 dogs. Mandy a Chocolate Lab with Reiker a Black Lab. Mandy was so smart. She would open doors, move chairs to climb onto cabinets. If Reiker was doing something he wasn't suppose to, Manyd would come get me and lead me to him. When Reiker was annoying her, she would get a toy so he would take it away from her and then walk BACKWARDS away from him and leave him playing by himself and he never knew it. Reiker, he was not very smart at all but very muscular and if you put down food and a ball, he would take the ball every time. We had a 6ft privacy fence and he would jump up and hang with his paws and just look around, sometimes for 30 minutes or more.
Now Jed was our last baby, a Pom mix. He really knew how to work Tommy and he thought I could read his mind because, well, he and were together all day, every day. I made him a winter coat and he loved it! He wanted to wear it all the time, even inside! He would get so upset if I didn't understand what he wanted.
With all 3, if they wanted to play or just hang out, they went to Tommy. If they were hungry, thirsty, sick or afraid they made a beeline to me! Tommy was the fun dad and I was the caregiver! I miss them so much. Now Tommy is with them in heaven and they wait for me until we are all a family again! I wait too!
Thank you for sharing such a sweet video!
May You Be Healthy, Safe and Happy.....AND LOVED!
