Has anyone tried calling their local Post Office recently ??? I just tried and was unsucessful.

The number I have used for 24 years just rings and rings.

I tried the 1-800 number and the recording kept repeating answers I hadn't given.

The recording said: Do you want to stop mail ??? I said no.

The recording said: I think I heard you say you want to stop mail. I loudly said no.

This happened on 2 separate calls.

I never did speak with a person or get a call through to my post office.

Has anyone has similar issues ???

required an in-person visit. This seems to be a recent change in their behavior, because we had been able to contact them telephonically within the past month.

I was having an issue with a new carrier who wouldn't close my front gate because "he has too many houses on his route."

He started closing the gate in less than a week! (But the first time he delivered a package, he left it out by the gate. Still waiting for a response to that.
