Will not be flying in the US due to FAA constant lethal errors due to the incompetent administration nor abroad. Am going to hunker down.

I was always very interested in other countries and cultures. But I ended up in a job which usually wouldn't allow us to plan for days off more than a couple of weeks in advance, and even then our days off were not guaranteed.
Now, with long covid, travel is going to be more and more difficult. Add on the ramifications of the current administration and I think that any traveling that I hope to do better be now.
I only have one trip that I absolutely must make, but I would like to see other countries while I'm in Europe.

But, for very different reasons.
I traveled a lot for my job. Almost 1,300 flights, working in 41 countries, making about 70% of my travel outside of North America.
I have no desire to get near an aircraft anymore & I don't care enough to drive anywhere in the US. Being retired means being home.

See this article:
https://www.forbes.com/sites/suzannerowankelleher/2025/05/09/trump-slump-hits-expedia-shares-fall-weak-travel-demand/

Other articles report that international holiday bookings into Mexico are booming. Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo should sent a nice "Thank you" note to Trump.

The irony is that since the election, the US Dollar exchange rate has dropped 10% against all the major currencies, so a trip to the USA would be cheaper this year. But few people want to risk that with all the craziness going on. I mean, you could get stopped in Customs because of a social post you made 5 years ago. Far fetched? Hardly. These exact things are happening already. Trump is arresting judges and threatening congress people. ICE is abducting people off the streets even when they have valid visas. So international travelers are wise to go somewhere else this year.
