The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsGood morning my DU family,
I'm recently reminded that if I don't understand, I can't empathize and if I can't empathize, I can't really help.
Please help me become more understanding.
Love, John
P.S. Have a lovely weekend

Ive found that sometimes understanding is not that important
just being there, without judgement, is understanding enough. That simple action may foster compassion which is like fertilizer to empathy which in turn could promote understanding.
A quiet soul comforting someone by just being.

(2,512 posts)I couldn't agree more with your sentiment. My message was more to encourage people to take steps to not just "try to help" but to learn about that which we can't yet understand as a goal.
Have a beautiful day Greg!

(2,512 posts)appreciate you thinking of doing that. I'm arguing with myself whether to include the link or not. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Have a lovely Saturday!

(55,827 posts)is not a big traffic time on DU, but I don't know what are the best times to post for the most visibility. I have a sense it's weeknights after seven, but I have no data to support that.
But I think GD will get more eyes onto it.
