A cactus in my front yard was dying, so it was dismantled.

I saved a few remnants and surprisingly, it is blooming!

1. Did you eat any of the inside?

Does it taste like nopales?

2. I have not eaten any saguaro.

3. I have rooted indoor cacti where the top was cut off from a rotting rootstock. Is that possible

here with some of the smaller tips? You can buy rooting powder at garden centers or online, and it works well. So sad to see the beautiful plant die.

6. I think between 120 and 150 years old.

I had no idea it was going to continue growing.

I think I would have cried watching it come down, but I get it.
