1. A Wegmans right off campus at a school I was attending for a couple of weeks

was my lunchtime go-to for something different every day. There are salad bars at supermarkets in my locale, but none match Wegmans.

2. Tldw, but we have a weggies in our town... meh

Yes, it has a broad range of products and even fast food, and it is a very nice store....

But it also significantly more expensive than competing stores. And it is having a wal-mart impact on small businesses like pizza shops and liquor stores.

I suppose progress, but just another mega-store in nice clothing.

I prefer to shop smaller, but is a better alternative than stop and shop, which is ugly predatory.

3. I was on a work trip once to Wayne, PA

A coworker said that If there was one nearby to be sure to visit it. Wow! It is an amazing place for sure!

So the 1st time I ever went there I parked the car on the side parking lot because the lot was very full....walking up to the store I saw a smallish man in a very nice brown suit with a brief case standing on the walk-way. I thought he was likely waiting for a ride, maybe an Uber or Lyft. So I go in the store and I notice a big picture on the wall of Mr. Wegman....Lo and behold that was the guy I saw on the side of building! He was gone when I came back out, otherwise I would have introduced myself and let him know how impressed I was with the store.
