What a pain it is to break a phone

We were on a trip to another country. My wife was holding her phone while I was heading down the stairs in the tour bus and teh phone hit the back of my elbow and fell out onto the street. Ooops. Cracked screen and display. Whole thing not useable.

Do you realize what a problem that is these days?

Social media, dead. Email. Dead. To use my phone or tablet she needs to get a security code to use a new device... SMS or email goes to her phone...... Argh.

Repair store don't have the display in stock. It is Easter week. They can order but won't come in until Friday, Closed. Good Friday. Closed the whole weekend. Saturday since they normally work half days not going to open. Of course Sunday closed. Easter. Monday closed Easter Monday.... Plus replacement part is more than half the cost of a new one....

We should see a new phone this week.

And life goes on.

Just had my phone destroyed in traffic yesterday afternoon.
It sucks.
Sorry, I understand your loss

I didn’t talk on or even think of a phone for days at a time…as an adult.

When they came out my first thought was why would I want to carry a electronic leash.

The tech is amazing I just do not need it on me every waking minute.

One that we will use for stuff like this that we both use for the security devices and friends and family only.
We will both use it.
Have that as the email for security tests by sites and credit cards

They are military grade protection & so far mine seems to work go protect my phone.

I know it's a real pain. I've had to order screens & backplates in the past, then wait for delivery.

Now with the supply chain literally stalled, it might be quite a wait for anything & everything.

Good luck!

But it seems to have caught it wrong.
She is now thinking of a lanyard thing that is popular here.
My daughter used Otter boxes for her Iphone but it triples the thickness. I've been lucky with just the thin silicon units for samsungs. I had a blackberry come out of my pocket while doing 30 mph on a bike. Hardly a scratch.... go figure.
