The unintended consequence is that we casually treat it as if it will always be there -- our friends and family members will be there next week, or next month, and we can certainly wait until then to visit or give them a call.

8. I know why I am sick

The medication I have been on for over 10 years is "no longer available". The "new" medication isn't cutting it at all.

I feel horrible and wish I'd just go away. That's how awful I feel. ugh.

There is no reason you should be sickened by your meds with no recourse to relief. Pester the everloving daylights out of your doc if you need to but there are things that can be done about it. Anti-emetic drugs taken with the opioids do help considerably. As a med nurse I gave meds like cimetidine or compazine with pain meds to prevent the nausea and abdominal issues that pain meds so often cause.
If medical marijuana is legal where you live you might want to look into it as well.
