What happens when a conservative group visits an HBCU homecoming?

Turning Point’s Blexit group is on a tour of historically Black campuses in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s slaying. Howard University students weren’t impressed...

Well, duh. https://wapo.st/4qplxmh

On the outskirts of Yardfest, the annual campus concert that draws thousands to [Howard's] famed quad, two groups faced off. On one side, a man with bulging muscles and a microphone interviewed a group of eventgoers while a cameraman donning an “America First” baseball cap videoed for Blexit. Just a few feet away, members of a countermovement waved a handmade sign that read, “Blexit = Black people for white supremacist fascism.”

.... and it turns out I have something of a background familiarity with her organization. She is an activist with "Resist Fascism", which is something like a front organization for commie-cult Revolutionary Communist Party, USA. They also run another group of quasi-front organizations on college campuses, called Revolution Clubs.

They are both infamous AND something of a joke at my alma mater, UChicago. And have been for much longer than the 40 years since I attended. Here is an interview (c. 2019) in the campus newspaper that features her and also provides some RevCom Club anecdotes.

Looking up the term Blexit, it apparently started as a grassroots organization in Minneapolis.

The original organization should sue the pants off tpusa for coopting their name.
