As hurricane season starts, Trump is making sure you won't get FEMA help

Fingers crossed, Florida. We are going to need some luck this hurricane season because we’re about to get screwed like never before.

I don’t know where the storms will go, but I’m pretty sure the federal umbrella of help we’ve always relied on will be in tatters.

That’s because the gutting and defunding of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, or FEMA, is one of the many bits of collateral damage to the Trump administration’s dogged efforts to heap tax-savings windfalls on the very rich.

Jared Moskowitz, who was Florida’s emergency management director before he was elected to Congress, told his colleagues recently that hurricanes along the Gulf Coast would have catastrophic financial repercussions on the Trump-voting states of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama without FEMA.

He's trying to kill off the poor and working class in the southern coastal states. You can be sure the governors will priortize the rich and let the rest of us rot! It will be just like the start of the Covid vaccines where some states (including Fl) only supplied the vaccine to the rich and would not make any available for the working class or poor. The only thing that saved us was Biden changing the distribution so that it went to the drug co's to inject all the people - not just their cherished rich.
