'Why China Laughs at the Idea of Americans Taking Their Manufacturing Jobs'

"A 'Make America Strong Again' banner hangs on the wall as rows upon rows of overweight workers assemble Nike sneakers; one lifts a burger up to his mouth as he eats while working, another rests his head on the sewing machine in front of him, barely able to keep his eyes open."

"It’s a caricature of U.S. manufacturing that Chinese netizens have been laughing at over the past week, as social media platforms have seen a wave of AI-generated videos portraying what some think it would look like for Americans to work in sweatshop-like textile factories and iPhone assembly lines more commonly associated with China."

tasks? And we are busy booting many of those in the manufacturing labor force, out of the country now.

I remember the 1st time I toured factories in China...I was stunned by the efficiency of the Chinese worker to do these type of repetitive jobs with almost singular focus.

Aside from disabilities there’s a lot of people who can’t or won’t get off the couch. Sadly a lot of that, in the kind of depressed wage right to work states where manufacturing loves to go, is due to drug usage.

We ain’t picking crops or doing piecemeal crap.
