Trump ignores Huckabee-Sanders

Gov. Sarah Huckabee-Sanders has again asked for federal assistance for her state of Arkansas, ravaged by violent weather in the past few months. Request has been refused and ignored...testament to the crass attitude Trump has for his "friends" and moreover his supporters. So now Republicans are starting to realize what a piece of work they all voted into the presidency, and they all will be sliding into deeper doo-doo as the months tick by. Republicans must start to stand up for what is right, and stop licking Trump's ass. God knows when that will be. 15 Republicans have stood up to complain about Social Security and Medicaid, so we'll see where that goes.

I hate to say that Trump is right, but "no FEMA" is what Sanders and her state begged for when they voted for him.

... reforming FEMA emergency spending to shift the majority of preparedness and response costs to the states and municipalities...

Funding for affected areas in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania wasn't passed until Jan. 29, 2013 -- a 3 month wait. Many Republicans voted against the bill including Senator Tom Cotton, now begging for funding for his state of Arkansas.

I feel bad for the people in Arkansas who were affected by the tornados, but I also know they elected terrible people to office. Hopefully Sarah Huckabee Sanders can do something for them because Trump's made it clear that he's not going to help.

Gut NOAAand the NWS like he did and Surprise!
There's a tornado in your town you had no idea was coming.
Remember that President Biden would have help standing by, ready to roll. You called him old and sleepy.
Sorry! I remember the in your face insults and will not forgive.
Like all red states, they went overboard and sorry for the good ones, but if you weren't so mean about it, I could care more.
Ask Mississippi for help.

the governor is a Huckabee, wealthy family.. and trump loves her and she will be just fine

Senator Cotton asked trump to reconsider.. nope! trump loves him too and he will be just fine.

Meantime more than 1 million Arkansas residents live in poverty and will not be fine.

Climate Crisis Impact on the Poor
Poor and low-income Arkansas households spend 5 times as much of their
income on energy costs as the average household.
Poor and low-income people are bearing the brunt of deaths and injuries due to
climate change. Arkansas has had significant changes in precipitation patterns,
with increased risks of flooding, drought, and water scarcity.

Their global headquarters are in Arkansas: https://www.swagroup.com/stories/walmart-global-headquarters-arkansas/

And even back in 2020 they were making ridiculous amounts of money:
"The family are among the wealthiest dynasties in the world, earning US$70,000 per minute and US$4 million every hour, according to Bloomberg.

“At that rate, their wealth would’ve expanded about US$23,000 since you began reading this,” the website explains. “A new Walmart associate in the US would’ve made about six cents in that time, on the way to an US$11 hourly minimum.”"
https://www.theceomagazine.com/business/finance/richest-family-walton-walmart/

But oh, I forgot: all risk is to be public; all profit is to be private. I guess at $4 million an hour they can't really be expected to help their neighbors....

it doesn't say anything about civilian monetary assistance. It just provides links to get more information, if living those areas, where I suppose one may find that info there, but I don't believe they will. I would like to be proven wrong.
