Elon Musk ordered to give deposition as 'vote buying' scheme bites him

Source: Raw Story

Elon Musk told voters they had a random shot at $1 million. Now a judge has ordered him to answer for it under oath.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Susan Hightower in Austin ordered Musk to sit for a deposition — sworn, on-the-record questioning by opposing lawyers — in a fraud lawsuit brought by two Arizona women who say his political action committee, America PAC, tricked them into handing over their personal information.

Musk made the promise at an October 2024 town hall in Pennsylvania. America PAC would give away $1 million every day until the election, he said, to a registered voter chosen "randomly" from those who signed a petition backing the First and Second Amendments.

It wasn't random. In a February deposition, America PAC's director, Christopher Young, admitted the winners were handpicked — chosen, he said, to be good "spokespeople" for the PAC. "It was not the words I would have chosen," Young testified about Musk's use of the word "randomly."

Also, declare starlink a national defense issue and nationalize it. Im thinking it would do well added to the usps portfolio. Email is mail, get it done.

His naturalization would have to be revoked in order for him to be deported. Unless he lied in his naturalization paperwork, that should not happen.

As painful as it is, he's our problem.

On a student visa, and he was in violation of said visa in short order. How? He didn’t take any classes and was working on some software project. So, he’s a fraud at best and an illegal immigrant, if we want to be technical about it.

He tried to skirt the lay by paying for a commitment to principles that act as a proxy for "the right candidates." hHat might be hard to prosecute, but even when a person pays for a commitment to vote a certaindidate, there can be no proof that the person actually voted that way because ballots are secret. So it would be worth investigating if we have the WH before statues of limitation expire.

However, this guy is every bit as lawless as Trump. There are plenty of other things to prosecute. His work with DOGE involved theft of documents and rigging of government contracts. And there is the whole "vote counting computer" thing which has never been dealt with, and will be used again and again if not prosecuted.

... and he was sued for running an illegal lottery. To counter this allegation, Musk admitted in an early November court hearing that the giveaway was not random. The two class action lawsuits were filed soon after this admission, in November 2024, about 18 months ago. Typically, class action lawsuits takes two to three years, and even up to five years, to be resolved.
