Epstein emails show close connection with MIT's Noam Chomsky

Source: WBUR

Emails show convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein had a tight friendship with MIT professor Noam Chomsky that spanned discussions about vacation, politics and included an apparent letter of support from Chomsky.

The emails were part of a trove of documents released last week by the U.S. House Oversight Committee detailing communications between Epstein and powerful figures across politics, academia and business.

A WBUR review of the emails show despite Epstein’s 2008 conviction for procuring a child for prostitution and of soliciting a prostitute, Chomsky stayed in close contact with Epstein into at least 2017. Chomsky is professor emeritus of linguistics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, noted activist and philosopher.

In an undated letter addressed simply "To whom it may concern," Chomsky raves about Epstein’s talents and connections. It’s unclear if the letter of support was sent to anyone. However, Chomsky likely wrote the letter in 2017 or there after, because he signed it stating he was a laureate professor at University of Arizona, a position he only began in 2017.

but probably really poor judgment in this case. One must wonder why Chomsky would have done this. I can't think of any honorable reason.

Assuming that Epstein sought this letter, and if it was post 2017, this could be in the period leading up to (or after) his 2019 arrest where he ended up dead in his jail cell. It makes some sense that Epstein might be looking for character witnesses for that trial. It does not make sense that he would hang himself the moment that cameras were turned off if he was making such efforts for his defense.

So he may have missed Epstein's earlier state conviction and Mr Epstein was involved in Philantrophic activities, so association isn't incriminating by it self.

I've liked his political books. I'd love to hear him say what the circumstances were about these contacts.

Then blackmail. Doubt if Chomsky got that far into it but what a fool for engaging. He's supposed to be the big brainiac. Makes you wonder......

... including Stephen Hawking, Bill Gates and several others. It doesn't mean Epstein supplied them with underage female companions either. It means he enjoyed their company and bouncing ideas off of them. Mr. Chomsky is probably part of this group.
