RAMALLAH, West Bank (AP) — Israeli and American officials will meet in Washington on Wednesday to discuss the aftermath of war in Gaza, despite no sign that the conflict, which has killed tens of thousands and pushed its largest city into famine, is nearing its end.

Their meeting comes as ceasefire talks show little apparent movement and outrage mounts over deadly Israeli strikes on a southern Gaza hospital that killed 20, including journalists and emergency responders.

Israel’s military said it would investigate the hospital attack. In initial findings Tuesday, it offered no immediate explanation for striking twice and no evidence for an assertion that six of the dead were militants.

U.S. Envoy Steve Witkoff told Fox News on Tuesday that President Donald Trump would chair the meeting, which would feature “a very comprehensive plan we’re putting together on the next day.” He did not offer details.

Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff has said the US is putting together a "very comprehensive" plan on "the next day" after the conflict.

The meeting comes after the Israeli military warned Palestinians that the evacuation of Gaza City was "inevitable", as its forces prepare to conquer it.

Israeli tanks pushed into a new area of the city overnight, destroying houses and forcing more residents to flee, witnesses said.

Thousands of people have already moved because of recent Israeli advances - mostly to other parts of the city, where about a million Palestinians still live............

He is going to meet Wednesday to discuss Gaza and going to wait to see what happens in Ukraine. The orange bastard is only running a phony s**t show here to advance his taking control as a dictator. He could care less about the rest of the world because he can't leverage control. He is such a caring person but he shut down USAID and is starving to death people in the most dire situations. My local school system is displaying signs with an American Flag and the words "In God WE Trust". The country don't look very Christian like right now with this prejudiced hateful assault on so many. We have to get it together and put the Trump trash out on the curb.
