'Disgusting abomination': Musk goes nuclear on Trump's 'big beautiful bill'

Source: Politico

Elon Musk came out swinging against President Donald Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” on Tuesday, slamming the reconciliation package as a “disgusting abomination” in a massive break from the president just days after stepping away from his role in the administration.

“I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore,” Musk wrote on his social media platform X. “This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.”

Musk, who Trump had tapped to lead the federal expense-slashing Department of Government Efficiency, went on to criticize the bill for setting up Congress to “increase the already gigantic budget deficit to $2.5 trillion (!!!)” and saddle Americans with “crushingly unsustainable debt.”

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt brushed off Musk’s criticism, which he posted as she was at the briefing room podium. “The president already knows where Elon Musk stood on this bill,” she said. “It doesn’t change the president’s opinion.”

with massive tax cuts for the rich -- this alone is not a deal breaker between him and the felon.

"Elon's really not leaving,” Trump said in a joint press conference with Musk in the Oval Office. “He's gonna be back and forth. It's his baby, he's going to be doing a lot of things."
“I expect to continue to provide advice," Musk, wearing a black hat with DOGE written on it and a black shirt reading “DOGEFATHER,” said during Friday's press conference, while noting that his legal limit for service as a special government employee was coming to an end. "I expect to remain a friend and an advisor.”...

Members of Musk’s early DOGE team, including Luke Farritor, Gavin Kliger, Edward Coristine, and Sam Corcos, have met with a number of departments and agencies—including the Treasury, the Office of Management and Budget, and the FBI—in recent days, seemingly continuing business as usual, WIRED has learned.

The team also appears to be actively recruiting ... This doesn’t sound like a group that is going away, it sounds like one that’s digging in like a parasite,” an IT specialist at the Department of Agriculture (USDA) tells WIRED...“Elon may be stepping away, but DOGE’s mission remains stronger than ever. Exposing reckless, wasteful government spending isn’t about one individual—it’s about a lasting overhaul of Crazy Town,” congressman Aaron Bean, chair of the House DOGE caucus, tells WIRED....

Republican are always doing this. People need to call this the Republican Administration, not Trump. Trump will be gone and grifter Repukes will be pretending they had nothing to do with it.

Musk has a problem with spending in the bill, but what about the tax cuts for billionaires that are the biggest cause of our enormous deficits?

And how about some cuts to the military budget which is rife with waste and abuse. Their budget is actually increased in the bill!

Drum roll:

It's nothing more than a DISGUSTING ABOMINATION. So says the deep-pocketed "financial wizard and 21st century visionary" who made this whole thing possible. Apparently, disgruntled mega-billionaires are quite capable of experiencing a finding out phase!

Trump's Big, Beautiful Bill does not provide for a tax credit on purchases of electric cars. So, even after $280 million to get Trump elected, as usual Trump didn't deliver the perk Musk really needs, NOW!

As is well known-Donny's loyalty is only to himself, never anyone else!

Now it begins:

The Clash of the Titans.

Elon Musk is younger, healthier, certainly richer than tired, aging DJT!

The Republicans are going to learn an Economics lesson! Income shortfall, cutting expenses is the smallest part of the solution.

INCREASING INCOME IS THE SOLUTION; The USA is not in a position to cut taxes, quite the opposite, first step is elimination of the last tax cut and imposition of a minimum 15% tax on all corporate profits!

The MAGA and GOP pine for the "good old days", somehow they forget that those days included a 90% tax rate on business! Eisenhower (R) was POTUS then!

When the average American has money problems they get a second job, or a better job to increase income!

Like all Americans I am anxiously awaiting a response from DJT!
