Trump shares ally's plan to 'release terrorists near homes of Supreme Court justices'

Source: Raw Story

Donald Trump has been lashing out at the Supreme Court since it handed him a loss on the issue of immigration, and on Saturday he went as far as to distribute a MAGA lawyer's plan to "release 'terrorists' near the homes of Supreme Court justices." Former GOP staffer Mike Davis has made headlines for his social media comments in the past, and was rumored to be on Trump's list for attorney general. Recently, he posted a plan to get back at the Supreme Court justices for not ruling in line with MAGA.

"The Supreme Court still has an illegal injunction on the President of the United States, preventing him from commanding military operations to expel these foreign terrorists," Davis wrote. "The President should house these terrorists near the Chevy Chase Country Club, with daytime release."

Chevy Chase Club is "an elite country club that counts Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. among its members," the Washington Post reports.Trump "re-Truthed" that remark on Saturday.

This led former Obama speechwriter Jon Favreau to say, "The President re-posts a suggestion from an adviser that he release 'terrorists' near the homes of Supreme Court justices who’ve merely ruled that the government can’t send people to a foreign gulag without due process." Davis weighed in on Favreau's statement, writing, "Yes.

All of this can be credited to this scotus. They had the ability to stop this at the very beginning with the citizens united decision, but they have chosen poorly all along.

If they’ve committed an act of terrorism or committed an other crime, he could indict them or get a warrant and arrest them.

We have a criminal justice system to determine if someone has committed a crime, not by Trump’s decree.

Since the subprime court was why these immigrants were spared I would think they would want to protect the justices.

This is the mentality of a spiteful ten-year old who cannot/will not accept any boundaries and for whom the word NO is a call for vengeance.

The fact that a lawyer is promoting the idea and a misfit like our impostor King is repeating the threat tells you everything you need to know about the state of the country.

This is the Crooked, Termite-Infested House That Trump Built.

No amount of gold paint can cover up the vileness or shame.

I'm not sure it would unless a true threat was carried through.

Not calling for that, not hoping for that but Justice Roberts may sound hot and bothered about lawlessness in public addresses, yet he doesn't appear willing to crack the whip. Alito and Thomas are lost causes. Corrupted and compromised, they're willing to sign onto all things MAGA regardless of how destructive. The other three right-wing Justices are still Heritage Foundation darlings. Only Barrett appears to have a sense of dismay over what is clearly happening.

The Roberts' Court willingly cast Donald Trump into open waters with their insane immunity ruling. It remains to be seen if the majority will reel him in, even if it's only for the Court's self-preservation.

We shall see.

if no actual morals can be found. Clearly Thomas cares more about the money than the courts, but I presume some of the RW justices think it a good idea to have an independent judiciary. Alito would rather have the RW win than have a democracy, but that may be a bridge too far for Roberts and Barrett.

But for the immunity ruling it wouldn't even be a question.

I'm hoping they get the picture before Trump has time to consolidate power. These aren't the low information base, they shouldn't need a threat carried through to understand what is happening. But they are hand-picked by Trump so I guess we can't count on anything.

Kill off conservative justices that aren’t in lock step with him, then replace them with the more “truest of the true” that maga can provide.

to this type of threat... whether or not anything is actually carried out. SCOTUS screwed up with their "immunity" ruling... screwed up as far as the 95% of us are inclined to believe then AND now. SCOTUS is just now finding out that their friendship with trump only lasts for as long as you do exactly what he tells you to do, in the way he's told you to do it. Step outside of those parameters once, and you're an enemy of trump's for life. I've not seen evidence that anyone ever gets accountability from trump for anything, so there's no known route for making him pay - or at least, back off. What in the world is SCOTUS going to do now? Even if they give trump everything he wants from his point forward, trump will always be trying to make them pay for the one time they didn't. And, like I said, humans being human, I would think their first reaction would be entrench themselves deeper and NOT give him everything he wants. Of course, we've got more than a few Magats on the court, so who knows? While most magats believe in instant gratification, these judges of that ilk are more measured as far as timelines go.

So the question across the board, in all things, is how do you stop trump? He is not a force of nature on his own. But, other than personally murdering him, how can one put a stop to all this he comes up with? I would say do tit for tat.. he puts out an executive order and you tell him you won't enforce it. And you stick to that decision, no matter what trump throws at you. But even if it did work, it would only work for that one "enemy" and not everyone else. So again, what can be done to stop trump?

What are they going to do when these tactics result in the murder of a judge or politician?
Their shit is going to look pretty weak when they actively call for or instigate the death of a high profile person and someone follows through on it. Will the media call this out if so?
