A 2-year-old boy fell off a 15th-floor balcony at an apartment building in Silver Spring, Maryland, on Thursday and miraculously survived.

Around 2 p.m., Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service personnel responded to an apartment building in the 11200 block of Oak Leaf Drive for reports of a child falling.

The boy had fallen into the bushes below and was transported to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.

Hat tip, channel 4 in DC over the air, but the story is not on their website yet.

We're told even 5th floor balconies can be very dangerous.

I fell three stories as a two year old, and also landed in some bushes. No harm. Everyone thought that was miraculous.
It was a screened window opened for ventilation. I jumped up into it and pushed against the screen before Mom could get to me.
Fifteen stories is almost unbelievable 😮

The story showed up on the ABC network TV news too.

Channel 4 was coming in last night. When the account began with “2-year old falls fifteen stories from high-rise,” I was horrified.

Then the story continued.

Thanks again, and good morning.
