This was two hours ago:
President Trump has accused Voice of America of being biased against him. In March, he issued an executive order to dismantle the agency that finances the international news outlet.

Voice of America, which for eight decades brought news to corners of the globe where reliable journalism was scarce, went dark in March after the Trump administration cut its funding and put its workers on leave.
But next week, journalists for the organization, a U.S.-funded international news broadcaster, are set to return to work, its director said, after it won a court victory last month restoring its funding.
The director, Mike Abramowitz, said in an email to his staff on Friday that the Justice Department had alerted Voice of America that the broadcasters access to its computer systems was being restored. The email was obtained by The New York Times.
I am seeking further details, and I will share them as soon as possible, Mr. Abramowitz wrote. But on the face of it, this news is a positive development.

(43,251 posts)On Thursday, an appeals court stayed, or paused, the rulings pertaining to those broadcasters, pending further review, but did not stay Lamberths order about VOA. Thats what apparently led to the return-to-work message on Friday night.
Some VOA staffers told CNN they are viewing the situation with skepticism, given the Trump administrations open hostility toward the network.

I don't know where the Bluesky person got the info that says otherwise.

(17,741 posts)Plaintiffs can request a hearing before the full court, and request an emergency stay.
The full court is still not in tsf's pocket.
But barring a stay, it may not matter. People will be fired and gone by the time the full court takes it up.

Federal court of appeals today entered an order changing its position, now stating the return to work portion of the preliminary injunction in the Voice of America cases now stayed. That means it's unlikely VOA's journalists will be returning to work on Monday, says our lead attorney, David Seid.
